Diane Blaine possesses the looks of a film icon, but her misfortune lies in the fact that her appearance is already associated with the disgraced celebrity and tabloid sensation, Jamie Stephens. Diane’s repeated rejections in Hollywood, which she attributes to being “Too Jamie Stephens” (TJS), have left her feeling resentful, exasperated, and admittedly, a bit of a complainer. Her partner and colleague, Jack Sanders, isn’t much of a motivator either, as his idea of ambition is to take things as they come. Now, Jack finds himself deeply indebted to a mobster with a penchant for Jamie Stephens. Jack’s only escape plan? Persuade Diane to impersonate Jamie and settle the debt by sharing a meal with a mob boss. This is, quite literally, the most crucial performance of her life, with Jack’s future hanging in the balance.
