A young woman named Valda, who struggles with mental illness, becomes convinced that a boy living in an orphanage is her son. In an effort to rescue him, she follows the path of many Lithuanians by moving to Ireland to find work. “Loss” captures the poignant blend of beauty and sorrow within the human soul.
