First Wave
First Wave is a science fiction TV series from Canada and the United States, shot in Vancouver, British Columbia. It was broadcast on the Sci-Fi Channel between 1998 and 2001. The series was the brainchild of Chris Brancato, who also contributed to an early draft of the iconic X-Files episode “Eve.” The legendary Francis Ford Coppola served as the executive producer. In a rare decision, the Sci-Fi Channel committed to a 66-episode deal for the series. However, the show was canceled after its third season when the contract ended, as it failed to achieve satisfactory ratings.
