Packed to the Rafters is an Australian TV series centered on family life, which debuted on the Seven Network on Tuesday, August 26, 2008, at 8:30 pm. The show maintained this Tuesday evening slot throughout its entire run. It blends light comedy with drama, focusing on the Rafter family as they navigate work challenges and personal issues, while also addressing significant social topics. TV Week announced that the sixth season would be the final one for Packed to the Rafters. Hugh Sheridan expressed, “Letting go of Rafters is emotional for all of us. It was an incredible chapter in Australian TV, and I’m proud we reunited to give it a proper send-off.” The two-hour finale aired on July 2, 2013, featuring the return of Hugh Sheridan, Jessica Marais, Ryan Corr, Jessica McNamee, and James Stewart. Rebecca Gibney commented, “The cast, writers, and producers always aimed to keep Rafters as a top-rated show. If we felt we were losing too many cast members, we wanted to conclude on a high note. Season six wraps up a part of the Rafter family’s story, providing a sense of closure.”
