Carrie Wells, once a police detective in Syracuse, New York, possesses hyperthymesia, an uncommon condition that enables her to recall every detail visually. She hesitantly becomes part of the Queens homicide division of the New York City Police Department when her ex-boyfriend and former partner seeks her assistance in cracking a case. This opportunity also gives her a chance to uncover the one memory that eludes her: the events surrounding her sister’s murder.
