In 1974, during a time of power outages, strikes, and violent clashes at football matches, Joe McCain finds himself stuck in a monotonous life. Then he meets Jane, a stunning blonde hairdresser who introduces him to a vibrant new world filled with music, dance, and all-night parties at The Wigan Casino, the epicenter of Northern Soul. Enthralled by the energetic dance scene and his growing attraction to Jane, Joe soon finds himself entangled in the more sinister aspects of the soul movement, challenging the strength of his friendships.
